Miryam Gover De Nasatsky se graduó como profesora enLetras en la Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina. Docente e investigadora. Con una beca del Fondo Nacional de las Artes editó La Bibliografía de Alberto Gerchunoff. Conjuntamente con la Lic. Ana Weinstein dio a conocer los dos tomos del libro Escritores judeoargentinos: bibliografía 1900-1987. Además, con Ana Weinstein y Roberto Nasatsky, relevaron las distintas facetas de la actividad musical en Trayectorias musicales judeo-argentinas. Dado que las artes plásticas constituyen otra vertiente importante de la creatividad judío-latinoamericana, con Steve Sadow construyeron el sitio web Jewish Latin American Art (http://www.jewishlatinart.com) que centraliza la obra de más de cien artistas para favorecer su estudio y difusión. Ha presentado ponencias en congresos internacionales y colabora en varias revistas literarias argentinas. Entre sus obras están dos poemarios Persistentes vibraciones (1999) y Resonancias de Auschwitz (2011); y tres novelas históricas, La pasión de un visionario—Theodor Herzl (2004) y Desde la cima: Reminiscencias de David Ben-Gurión (2008) y Hacia la libertad (2015)

Miryam Gover de Nasatsky graduated with a degree in education from the National University of the Littoral, Argentina. She is a teacher and researcher. With a fellowship from the National Fund for the Arts, she edited the Bibliografía de Alberto Gerchunoff. With AnaWeinstein, she published the two volumes of Escritores judeo-argentinos: bibliografía 1900-1987. Also, with Ana Weinstein and Roberto Nasatsky, she described the diversity of musical activity in Trayectorias musicales judeo-argentinas. Since the arts constitute another aspect of Jewish Latin American creativity, Miryam Gover de Nasatsky and Steve Sadow developed the website “Jewish Latin American Art” (http://www.jewishlatinart.com/) that brings together the work of more than one hundred artists, so that this art can be disseminated and studied. Miryam Gover de Nasatsky has presented papers at international conferences. She is a contributor to various Argentinean literary magazines. Gover de Nasatsky is the author of two books of poems, Persistentes vibraciones (1999) and Resonancias de Auschwitz (2011); and two historical novels, La pasión de un visionario—Theodor Herzl (2004) and Desde la cima: Reminiscencias de David Ben-Gurión (2008) and Hacia la libertad (2015.)

MÁS ALLÁ DE LA MUERTE
Nadie les devolverá
la vida arrebatada
prematuramente
pero sus miradas insomnes,
sin lágrimas,
anidan en las nubes.
Nadie les devolverá
el futuro truncado,
ni la alegría,
pero sus voces
suplicantes resuenan
en el viento.
El odio irracional,
les impuso un
sangriento designio
pero sus huesos,
convertidos en polvo,
viven
en cada flor y
en cada niño.

BEYOND DEATH
No one will give them back
life snatched away
prematurely
however their sleepless gaze,
without tears
nests in the clouds.
No one will give them back
the curtailed future,
nor the joy,
however their imploring voices
ring out
in the wind.
Unreasoning hate
forced on them
a bloody scheme
however their bones,
turned to dust,
live on
in every flower and
in every child.

ATALAYA
Un punzante alarido
atravesó la barraca silenciosa
y zapatos de todas las medidas,
quizás cientos o miles,
se alinearon solos
en el patio,
formando interminables filas,
tal cual lo hacían recorridos
por el frío sudor del miedo.
Muy gastados,
de color indefinido
pero firmes
como si recubrieran
los dañados pies
de quienes debían morir
por ser judíos.
Los más pequeños,
todavía humedecidos
por el llanto y la orina
junto a restos de grandes
suelas quebradas.
¡Silencio y espanto en la fría mañana!
¡Piedras, ladridos y púas!
Otro alarido intentó
en vano
hacerlos marchar.
Sólo atinaron a juntarse más
hasta encimarse
formando
una lúgubre montaña.
Atalaya de oprobio,
permanecen así,
atrincherados,
sin consuelo
ante el horror y la impotencia.

GUARD TOWER
The sharp wail of a siren
pierced the silent barracks
and shoes of all sizes,
in their hundreds or thousands
lined up alone.
in the prison yard,
endlessly mustered,
just as it is
in a cold sweat of fear.
Terribly worn,
indefinite color
but holding together
as if they might yet cover
the damaged feet
of those compelled to die
because they were Jews.
The smallest
still damp
with tears and urine
next to the remains of large
broken soles.
Silence and shock in the cold morning!
Stones, bricks and barbs!
Another wail tried
to set them walking — in vain.
They are capable only of clustering together
until they are stacked
into
a sorrowful mountain.
Guard tower of shame,
they endure,
entrenched
without consolation
in the face of horror and impotence.
